Dr Hilton Beck
MBBCh, FRACGP, MMED (Skin Cancer)
Independent visiting General Practitioner at

Moonee Medical Centre

Hilton Beck was born, raised, educated and trained in South Africa. He left the country shortly after qualifying, and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Canada, Hobart, The Sunshine Coast , and Coffs Harbour , where he has been for the past 30 years, probably something about the climate and beautiful location that has influenced the length of stay so far!

Whilst initially interested in Emergency Medicine, he became a GP, but after a few years decided to pursue his interest in skin cancer medicine and has dedicated his clinical work in that field since 2001. He obtained his Masters degree in Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2008. Dr Beck is an independent visiting Doctor at Moonee Medical Centre.

Hilton has some non- medical interests, mostly he loves designing and inventing “things”, spending a lot of time playing in his workshop at home. Daily beach walks with the dogs ensure ongoing appreciation of the fantastic part of the world in which he lives. There are plans to see more of Australia when he retires one day.
