Standard appointments are booked at 15 minute intervals.  New patient appointments are generally booked as a long appointment.

New patient forms can be downloaded from this page and given to Reception upon arrival for the first appointment.  

Appointments are open daily for emergencies such as sick children and urgent medical problems. Please discuss with the reception staff if you feel you need an urgent appointment.    

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please call reception to advise us, preferably within 24 hours. This will assist in allocating the appointment time to another patient. 

Please book an individual appointment for each family member needing to be seen. This will help the Doctor give each individual appropriate appointment time.  

Long Appointments 

Please advise admin staff if you require a longer consultation time (more than 15 minutes). Examples of these consultations include: 

  • Midwife appointment  
  • Complex or multiple 
  • (more than 2) medical problems 
  • Insurance medicals 
  • Counselling 
  • 8 week baby checks 
  • Pension or disability assessments 
  • Pap smears 
  • Commercial driving medicals 
  • Detailed medical check ups 
  • Pre employment medicals 
  • Diving medicals 

Repeat prescriptions and referrals 

An appointment is required with a doctor to obtain repeat prescriptions or referrals. This enables the appropriate  monitoring of your health. In the case of referrals it allows doctors to update any medical information for the specialist and to check on the need to see the specialist. Please note that it is not permissible for a doctor to issue back dated referrals, so please ensure you have a referral prior to your specialist appointment. 

Medical certificates 

Doctors need to see a patient in order to issue a medical certificate for medical conditions requiring time off work. Medical certificates cannot be backdated. 


Unless you request otherwise, we may place you on a recall system for preventive health checks and other health matters. You may be contacted by phone or mail. 

Interpreter service 

The doctors have access to a phone interpreter service. Please advise admin when booking your appointment if this service is required. 


The aim of the booking system is to see patients on time and it is understood that patients have time obligations. If the Doctor you are seeing is running late, it may be the result of an emergency and the practice appreciate your patience in this situation.
