Coffs Medical Centre and Moonee Medical Centre provide quality health care and the Centre’s are private billing practices. Please check with the admin team when booking an appointment as to the fee charged by the Doctor.
The Australian government funded Medicare scheme subsidises the cost of a person’s health care. However, the Medicare rebate alone does not cover the cost of delivering high quality health care. Hence, there may be an out-of-pocket cost for services provided at either Centre. Click here to see a graph from the AMA that shows the gap between CPI (the cost of living) and the Medicare rebate, which the federal government “froze” in 2013.
Bulk-billing is available for children under 16 years old, however please note all weekend consultations will attract a fee.
Both Practices require payment of fees at the time of your consultation. You may pay by cash, EFTPOS or credit card and your claim to medicare will be paid to your nominated account within 24 hours of your consultation.
